Navitimer Series has symbolized the Breitling brand since 1952 and gave pilots a genuine wrist instrument. It became the official watch of the AOPA, the world's largest group of pilots. The Navitimer is the worlds oldest continuously produced Chronograph. One of these series is the Old Navitimer II which introduced in 1952, the Navitimer design provided pilots and aircrews with a highly innovative chronograph design - For the first time ever, this instrument featured a "navigation computer" capable of executing every calculation a flight plan requires. This model has been replaced by the Current Navitimer with the Tri-Compax totalizer layout, with Breitling 23 movement. Essentially the same movement but modified for a different layout.
